Innovation Behind the Scenes with Melanie Nolden, early development lead
In the next chapter of our “Innovation Behind the Scenes” series – featured below - we introduce you to @Melanie Nolden, early development lead, Professional Pest Management, Envu. In her role, Melanie insect rears different common pests including mosquitoes, cockroaches, bed bugs, and more. And testing new active ingredients to be used in insecticides and other #Envu solutions that help prevent the spread of vector-borne diseases like malaria is one of her key focus areas. When new concepts for mosquito control solutions arise, Envu R&D leads like Melanie are testing them with artificial blood-feeding systems for our female mosquitoes’ egg production so we can effectively control future generations. At Envu, we know that nature is always changing, which means pests like mosquitoes are too. They are adapting to better suit their environments, evading threats, and finding new ways to challenge us and our methods. Through accessing new active ingredients to develop novel innovations, formulating existing active ingredients in creative new ways and in-licensing technologies to offer new rotational solutions, we fully leverage our industry-leading capabilities to stay ahead of evolving threats. Because preventing the threat of mosquitoes today means we can help communities thrive tomorrow. To be a positive force for human health, we must be a force with nature.
