Yesterday and Tomorrow: Ongoing Initiatives to Strengthen Our Culture, Colleagues and Communities

At Envu, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive workplace where employees can grow and thrive while making a positive impact on environments and communities around the world. Before we get too far into 2025, we wanted to reflect on how we worked to nurture our diverse and passionate team in 2024 while they worked alongside our customers to advance healthy environments.

Supporting our employees and colleagues.

Based on our Great Place To Work® employee survey results - conducted in the U.S., India and France in 2024 - 91% of our employees in the U.S., 85% in India, and 83% in France said they felt comfortable being their authentic selves at work.

At Envu, we want to create an environment that embodies our One Team, One Dream spirit where every voice is heard and authenticity is embraced. One key cultural initiative that supports this is our D.R.I.V.E. groups (Diversity, Respect, Inclusion, Voice and Equity). These dynamic Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture, connecting colleagues across borders and functions while creating opportunities to make a tangible impact.

Our D.R.I.V.E. groups are employee driven and include Female Leadership, Ethnicities, LGBTQIA+, Young Talents, Working Parents and Families and Disability and Neurodiversity. By the end of 2024, 100% of these groups had developed action roadmaps, and new groups are planned for 2025. These initiatives celebrate and embrace diversity, promote mutual respect, amplify voices and advocate for equity, creating a safe and empowering environment where employees feel valued and supported.

For example, the Female Leadership D.R.I.V.E. Group hosted two internal global forums last year to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by female leaders. Nearly 200 employees participated as leaders shared personal experiences, including navigating difficult decisions, balancing career and family responsibilities, and overcoming external challenges. The forums provided valuable advice and strategies for women aspiring to leadership roles, emphasizing empowerment, resilience and practical approaches to professional growth.

Similarly, during Pride Month, we celebrated and supported our LGBTQIA+ community across global offices. Events included rainbow breakfasts in key locations, Pride-themed decorations, desserts, and speeches from LGBTQIA+ employees and allies. Employees were encouraged to wear Pride colors to show their support, fostering a vibrant and inclusive celebration of diversity.

Another key cultural initiative is our Envu MentorMe Program, which supports employee development at a grassroots level. This internal mentoring program creates transformative relationships that challenge and inspire both mentors and mentees. By pairing experienced employees with individuals seeking guidance and support, MentorMe fosters a culture of learning, trust and growth.

The program empowers mentors to openly share their knowledge and expertise, helping mentees achieve their professional goals. From career development to conflict management and from embracing diversity to fostering digital mindsets, MentorMe participants broaden their perspectives and report tangible benefits such as increased job satisfaction, improved productivity, and enhanced career advancement opportunities.

Participants have shared glowing testimonials about their experiences. Larissa Wolfe, a campaign activation manager and mentee, noted, “I'd say that an unexpected benefit I've gained from participating in this mentoring program is that I have developed lifelong friendships across countries, disciplines and business units.” Similarly, Rebecca Wilkinson, portfolio director and mentor, shared, “The program is a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth. It represents a supportive environment where I can share my knowledge and experience as a mentor but also learn from the insights and perspectives of the mentee.”

The Envu MentorMe Program demonstrates our dedication to fostering meaningful connections and ensuring every employee has the tools and support they need to succeed — both personally and professionally

“Initiatives like our Envu MentorMe Program, and the creation of diversity-focused ERG groups... are pivotal,” said Laura Jacob, head of people, culture and communication. “They not only champion our employees’ growth, ‘Envusiasm’ and well-being but they also enable them to more effectively live out our purpose by advancing healthy environments for everyone everywhere to make a meaningful impact on society."

Finally, we can’t effectively represent our culture without talking about a critical group of volunteers who help us navigate change, something that is inevitable and essential in every successful company.

Our Envu Transformation Agent (TA) Community plays a key role in supporting colleagues as they navigate change and transformation across the organization. This global network of 50 dedicated volunteers — including six regional TA captains — plays a vital role in driving cultural initiatives, championing open communication, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure employees feel thoroughly supported and empowered to embrace change with confidence. Their important work as champions of change brings our One Team, One Dream spirit to life by ensuring employees feel informed, heard, and valued through Envu evolutions.

Celebrating our team’s achievements.

Each year, we take pride in celebrating the achievements of our teams, recognizing the incredible efforts and dedication that drive our purpose forward. The Dare to Explore Awards, an annual recognition program that honors Envusiastic employees from around the world, is just one of the many ways we celebrate.

The Dare to Explore Awards are peer-nominated and serve as a testament to the cultural traits that guide our company and shine the spotlight on employees who exemplify these traits in their daily work. By recognizing their efforts, we strengthen our collective pursuit of advancing healthy environments for everyone everywhere.

In 2024, we celebrated several remarkable achievements across key award categories:

Start With the Customer: Leading the charge in seeking win-win solutions, Shirly Benavides stands as a shining example of our commitment to ensuring customer needs and challenges are kept at the forefront.

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Embracing innovation and focusing her time and effort where it drives the highest impact, Julianna Arita demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit that propels Envu forward in a rapidly evolving landscape.

One Team, One Dream: Fostering collaboration and unity, the Commercial Operations VM North America team — led by Charles Steven Williams — showcases the power of synergy, trusting expertise and collective effort in achieving shared objectives.

Passion: Actively participating, assuring open-mindedness, and infusing his work with boundless enthusiasm and purpose, Fabio Magro embodies the passion that fuels our pursuit of excellence in everything we do.

Explorer: This special award is for an individual or team who exemplifies what it means to “Dare to Explore.” Pioneering unchartered territories and pushing boundaries, the LATAM Vector Control team — led by Gabriele Saqui — delivered industry-leading innovation for Aedes aegypti control in Brazil.

The Dare to Explore Awards reflect our commitment to celebrating the individuals and teams who inspire us all to aim higher, work smarter, and embody the spirit of exploration and values that define Envu.

Supporting our communities and environments.

Our Great Place To Work® employee survey results from last year also revealed that, 97% of our employees in India, 89% of our employees in the U.S., and 83% of our employees in France said they felt good about the ways we are contributing to the community.

Our team is deeply committed to supporting the communities and environments we serve. Through volunteerism and initiatives that embody our purpose to advance healthy environments, we actively give back each year, creating meaningful impacts worldwide.

One way we support our communities and provide fulfilling opportunities for Envu employees is our annual Community Service Day. Each year, our global teams come together for this initiative, which is rooted in our Be a Force With Nature ethos. On this day, we step outside our usual routines to engage in hands-on activities that directly contribute to the well-being of our communities and the environment.

Our 2024 efforts spanned the globe:

Brazil: Teams raised awareness about dengue fever and organized food baskets for families in need.

France: Colleagues supported food pantries, engaged in painting and gardening, provided marketing coaching for young entrepreneurs, and spent time with elderly residents.

Germany: Our team cleaned local parks and hosted educational sessions in kindergarten classrooms about insects and bugs.

India: Volunteers donated blood, planted trees, and visited orphanages and homes for the elderly.

Mexico: Partnering with the Mexican Confederation of Organizations in Favor of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, our team supported gardening and baking activities.

Singapore: Volunteers delivered over 100 meals to elderly homebound seniors, spreading joy and care.

U.S.: Employees cleaned up bear habitats at the Museum of Life and Science and revitalized Lake Sycamore.

One memorable moment came from our team in Lyon, France, at the Saint-François-d'Assise Elderly House. Veronique Forgeard, culture and change manager, reflected, “This was a special day for the team in Lyon at the Saint-François-d'Assise Elderly House. Some of us had a cooking workshop in the morning to prepare cakes while others went to the market with some residents. After lunch together, we went with 10 residents in wheelchairs to a park in the surrounding area to do a tour and spend time outside, eating the homemade cakes. It was such an enriching experience to allow those people to be outside for a moment. Seeing their smiling faces was the best gift! As we bid farewell, hugs were exchanged, and we knew we’d made a difference."

Our Global Step Challenge is another way that we give back. Last year, 410 of our employees collectively walked over 74,000 miles as part of the challenge. Through their efforts, they not only supported their own personal health and wellbeing, but they also funded the planting of 41 trees in Madagascar as part of the Kandrany 2 Reforestation Project.

At Envu, our dedication to advancing healthy environments drives us to contribute actively to the well-being of communities and environments everywhere. Through these initiatives, we bring our purpose to life and make a lasting impact.

Whether fostering inclusion and connection through D.R.I.V.E. groups or encouraging growth and mentorship through the Envu MentorMe Program, we’ve made it a priority to invest in our team — because they’re the driving force behind our purpose.

Through celebrating achievements with initiatives like the Dare to Explore Awards and giving back to the communities and environments we serve, we’ve created a foundation built on trust, shared success, and purpose. As we look ahead, we’re more committed than ever to living our values, advancing healthy environments, and building a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported and inspired to thrive. Together, we can be a force with nature.
