Top Four Trends in Trade Shows & Events in 2019

The first full week of 2019 is underway and we are off and running!  This year it feels like evolution is the only constant. There are new design trends, technology advancements, and innovative ways of using materials. Here are four key trends we look forward to seeing a greater focus on in 2019.

1)  Data, Data, Data – What are you doing with all that data?

Trade show managers are depending more and more on marketing and experience design technology, which means there is so much data available to collect.  It can give you a data hangover.  Making the data work for you, using that data to facilitate better trade show results and using that data to create a better attendee experience, will be a higher priority in 2019.

Career Builder Case Study:  Achieve Trade Show Goals with Experience Technology

Career Builder wanted to make a big splash at HR Technology Conference and Expo, and had some clearly defined goals they wanted to accomplish.  They didn’t have a solution in mind when they approached enVu to create a tech forward experience.  enVu worked closely with the Career Builder team to create an experience that would accomplish their goals.

Experience Technology Has the Power to Change Attitudes Quickly!

At HR Technology Conference and Expo 2018, one enVu client saw a big shift in attendees’ belief and understanding of what the company could offer.

One of the company’s objectives was to have attendees understand their innovative, tech forward solution suite.  The experience was fun, interactive and informative. There was a gamification element so participators could be educated and surveyed during the experience.

To determine if there were any changes in attendees opinions about the company, the survey included a question before and after they navigated the enVu  interactive experience and asked them: “How do you feel about The Company as an HR solutions provider?”

Prior to the experience 48% of attendees felt neutral about The Company. Only 14% felt it was an awesome and innovative company, and 35% felt it was pretty good.

Eight Ways to Get Higher Quality Trade Show Leads

Mаrkеtеrѕ wаnt mоrе thаn just a big рilе of lеаdѕ. They also want highеr ԛuаlitу lеаdѕ. Lеаdѕ thаt are more likely tо соnvеrt intо ѕаlеѕ. Lеаdѕ that thеir ѕаlеѕ fоrсе will сrоw аbоut, nоt complain аbоut. Leads thаt will сrеаtе far more rеvеnuе thаn it cost to gеnеrаtе thеm.

Selecting the Right Technology and How to Keep It Relevant Long Term

Technology is changing and evolving at an exponential rate.  In the last 10 years we’ve seen the introduction and mass adoption of Uber (2009), the iPad (2010) and Snapchat (2011), all now ubiquitous and changing the way we interact and navigate our environment.  In the last year alone, self driving trucks were introduced, and Space X launched and landed Falcon 9 upright and intact.

So, it is no wonder that when we were at the American Museum Expo this past May, we kept getting the same feedback:  This is all really cool, but how do we choose and invest in technology experiences that will be relevant and have impact long term?

11 Ways to Identify the Right Experience Technology Partner

Experience technology has changed the way we engage and connect with attendees during and after an event. It is required to adapt and grow so we can offer our clients the best solutions to meet their trade show goals. Experience technology is a tool that helps us reach trade show goals with more flexibility, engagement options, measurement, and disruption, thereby allowing attendees to respond and remember engaging experiences.

Exhibit houses can bring experience technology into their portfolio in one of three ways:
